Description
The Power Supply Every Ingenico Lane Terminal Runs On
A Lane terminal with a dead power supply is a checkout lane that is closed. Ingenico sells Lane terminals bare - no power supply or cables in the box. This is the standard add-on 8V 2.0A unit for the Lane 3000, Lane 3600, Lane 5000, Lane 7000, and Lane 8000, whether you are setting up a new terminal or replacing a worn-out brick.
Part number 296196003 is the current Ingenico part and also replaces the older 179901469. If either number is printed on your old brick, this is the right order. This is a genuine Ingenico OEM unit - not one of the generic look-alike adapters most sellers list under these part numbers.
✅ Key Features
- ✅ One supply covers every Lane model, so multi-terminal stores only stock one spare
- ✅ 8V 2.0A regulated output protects the terminal from the power sags that cause mid-transaction reboots
- ✅ 100-240V 50-60Hz input works on any US circuit
- ✅ Direct replacement for both 296196003 and legacy 179901469 units
- ✅ Genuine Ingenico OEM unit - most listings under these part numbers are third-party copies; this is not one of them

▶ Compatible Terminals
This supply powers every terminal in the Ingenico Lane series: Lane 3000, Lane 3600, Lane 5000, Lane 7000, and Lane 8000. It is the standard unit for both countertop and multilane installations.
▶ Lane 7000 and 8000: Standard vs Two-Part Supply
Lane 7000 and Lane 8000 run on this standard supply in most installations. Certain higher-power configurations use a two-part power supply instead - a separate brick and cord. Check the unit you are replacing: if it was a single one-piece adapter, order this. If it was a two-piece brick-and-cord set, you need the two-part unit, not this one.
▶ Signs Your Power Supply Is Failing
A Lane terminal that reboots mid-transaction, shows a flickering screen, or only powers on when the cord is held at an angle usually has a failing supply, not a failing terminal. Swapping in a known-good power supply is the first and cheapest diagnostic step before replacing a terminal.
▶ Why OEM Instead of a Generic Adapter
Payment terminals are voltage-sensitive. A generic adapter with loose regulation can cause lockups, card-read errors, and in the worst case a damaged main board that costs far more than the supply. The OEM unit is built to the tolerances the Lane hardware expects.
