▶ How to Install the ERC-32 Ribbon

1. Turn off the printer and open the ribbon access cover.
2. Grasp the old ribbon cartridge and pull it straight out. Some models have a release lever - press it first.
3. Remove the new ribbon from its sealed packaging. Turn the ribbon knob clockwise to take up any slack in the nylon fabric.
4. Align the cartridge with the guides inside the printer compartment and press it firmly into place until it clicks.
5. Close the cover, power on the printer, and run a test print to verify even ink distribution across the full print width.

▶ When to Replace Your Ribbon (Signs of Wear)

Replace the ribbon when you notice any of these signs: faded or light printing across the full receipt width, uneven ink (darker on one side, lighter on the other), characters that are hard to read at normal distance, or visible wear or fraying on the nylon fabric. A fresh ribbon should produce uniformly dark, crisp text from edge to edge. Do not wait until the ribbon is completely spent - faded receipts create problems for transaction records, returns, and chargebacks.
