Premium thermal paper rolls sized specifically for the Ingenico Move 5000 and Move 3500 wireless payment terminals. Each roll measures 2 1/4 inches wide by 50 feet long (57mm x 15m) with a 1/2 inch core. Made in America from BPA-free and BPS-free thermal stock. These rolls are guaranteed to fit the Ingenico Move 5000 and Move 3500 without jamming, misfeeding, or leaving residue on the print head. If you are unsure what paper your terminal uses, this is it: 2 1/4 inch width, 36mm maximum roll diameter, 1/2 inch core.

Each roll prints approximately 150 transactions at standard receipt length. A 50-roll case lasts approximately 7,500 transactions.

▶ Why American-Made Paper

Our thermal paper is manufactured in the United States using domestic pulp and coating processes. This matters for three reasons:

1. Print quality: American mills maintain tighter tolerances on thermal coating thickness, which means consistent black image density from the first receipt to the last foot of the roll. Imported paper often has uneven coating that causes light spots, fading, or incomplete character printing.

2. Shelf life: Properly coated American thermal paper retains image quality for 5+ years in normal storage conditions. Cheap imported paper can begin yellowing or losing image in 6-12 months, especially in warm or humid environments. If a customer disputes a charge and you need the receipt, it needs to be readable.

3. Chemical safety: Our rolls are BPA-free AND BPS-free. Some imported thermal paper still uses Bisphenol-A or Bisphenol-S in the thermal coating. Both are restricted in several US states for receipt paper. Using BPA/BPS-free paper protects your staff who handle receipts daily.

▶ How to Load Paper in the Ingenico Move 5000

1. Pull the paper cover release latch on the back of the terminal.

2. Open the paper compartment lid fully (it hinges backward).

3. Remove any remaining paper or empty core from the compartment.

4. Place the new roll into the compartment with the paper feeding from underneath (the loose end comes up from the bottom of the roll, toward you).

5. Pull approximately 2-3 inches of paper past the tear bar.

6. Close the paper compartment lid firmly until it clicks shut.

7. The terminal will automatically advance a small amount of paper to confirm proper feeding.

The red warning stripe near the end of the roll signals approximately 3-4 feet of paper remaining. When you see red on your receipts, load a fresh roll before the next transaction.

If the paper feeds but prints blank, the roll is loaded backward. Remove it, flip it over, and reload with the thermal (shiny/smooth) side facing the print head.

▶ Standard vs Coreless Rolls

We offer two versions of paper for the Ingenico Move 5000:

Standard rolls (this product): 2 1/4" x 50' with a 1/2" plastic core. These are the standard replacement rolls that fit the terminal exactly as designed. 50 feet per roll. Works in all Move 5000 and Move 3500 terminals.

Coreless rolls (sold separately): 2 1/4" x 75' with no core. 50% more paper per roll because there is no plastic core taking up space inside the roll. Same outer diameter. Costs more per roll but less per foot of paper. Ideal for high-volume locations that want to change paper less frequently.

Both versions produce identical print quality. The only difference is length per roll and the presence/absence of the inner core. If you want longer rolls with fewer paper changes, choose coreless. If you want the standard configuration at the lowest price per roll, choose standard.

▶ Storage and Handling

Store thermal paper in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Ideal conditions: below 77F (25C) and below 65% relative humidity. Avoid storing near heat sources, in vehicles, or in direct window light. Heat and UV exposure will cause thermal paper to darken prematurely or lose image quality.

Do not store near solvents, cleaners, or plasticizers (such as vinyl binders or plastic wrap) as these chemicals can react with the thermal coating and cause discoloration.

Properly stored, these rolls have a shelf life of 5+ years. Receipts printed on this paper remain legible for 7+ years under normal filing conditions.

▶ Troubleshooting

Blank receipts (paper feeds but nothing prints): The roll is loaded backward. Remove it, flip it 180 degrees, and reload. The thermal-coated (smooth/shiny) side must face the print head. Quick test: scratch the paper with your fingernail. The side that shows a dark mark is the thermal side and should face the print head.

Light or faded printing: The print head may be dirty. Run a cleaning card through the terminal. If the print head is clean, the paper may be stored incorrectly (heat damaged) or may be low-quality imported paper from a previous supplier.

Paper jams or misfeeds: Check that the roll diameter is not too large for the compartment (maximum 36mm). If using aftermarket paper with a larger core or thicker roll, it may not fit. Our rolls are sized exactly to the manufacturer specification.

Paper does not advance after closing the lid: The lid may not be fully closed. Press firmly until you hear the click. If the paper still does not advance, check that the paper end is not tucked under the roll (it needs to feed freely past the tear bar).

Gray or dark streaks on receipts: The print head is dirty or scratched. Clean with an approved cleaning card. If streaks persist after cleaning, the print head may need replacement (a service issue, not a paper issue).
