▶ How to Replace the Ink Roller in Your Royal Register

1. Turn the register off and open the printer compartment cover.

2. The ink roll sits just behind the print head in a plastic cartridge. Grasp the clip on the left side of the roll and lift it out.

3. Snap the new roller into place until it seats fully, close the cover, and run a test receipt.

If print is still faint after replacement, check that the roller is seated fully against the print head.

▶ Faded or Blank Receipts: What to Check

• Faded numbers: the ink roll is running dry. Swap in a fresh roller from this pack.

• No print at all: confirm the roller is seated in its slot and the printer compartment cover is fully closed.

• Patchy print with a fresh roller: check for paper dust around the print head and clear it with a dry cloth.
