▶ Which One Do I Need?

TN-730 or TN-760: they fit the same printers. The TN-730 is the 1,200 page starter size and the TN-760 is the 3,000 page high yield. This cartridge gives you the full 3,000 pages either way, so there is no reason to buy the smaller one.

TN-770: a larger 4,500 page cartridge used only by the HL-L2370DW, HL-L2370DW XL, MFC-L2750DW and MFC-L2750DW XL. Those four printers accept this cartridge too. If you specifically want the TN-770, we sell a compatible TN-770 separately.

High Yield or Jumbo: the High Yield is the direct TN-760 replacement. The Jumbo holds twice the toner in the same cartridge and prints 6,000 pages. For a printer that runs all day, the Jumbo means fewer changes and fewer orders.

▶ Printer Says Replace Toner After Installing?

This is the most common question we get about any non-Brother cartridge, and it is almost never a bad cartridge. Brother printers track page counts electronically and newer firmware is strict about new cartridges. Before you assume the cartridge is defective, reseat it in the drum unit until it clicks, check that every piece of shipping tape and every protective cover is off, close the front cover fully, and power the printer off and on. Make sure you replaced the toner cartridge and not the drum; they are separate parts that come apart. If the message stays, email us your printer model and the exact message on the screen. Most printers in this series have a model-specific reset; we confirm the steps with the cartridge manufacturer's technical team and send them to you.

▶ Do I Also Need a Drum Unit?

The toner cartridge holds the powder and is replaced every 3,000 to 6,000 pages. The DR-730 drum unit transfers the image to the page and lasts about 12,000 pages. If the printer says Replace Drum, or your pages have repeating spots or lines down the sheet, you need the drum, not the toner. ▶ How to Install

Open the front cover and lift out the toner and drum assembly. Press the green lock lever and slide the old toner cartridge out of the drum unit. Unbox the new cartridge, rock it gently side to side a few times to loosen the toner, and remove the protective cover. Slide it into the drum unit until it locks, put the assembly back in the printer, and close the cover. The whole job takes about a minute.

▶ Warranty

Every cartridge carries a one year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If a cartridge is faulty, contact us with your order number and a description of the problem; we issue a return authorization and send a replacement once the cartridge is confirmed defective.

▶ Jumbo Toner: Page Counter Reset

The Jumbo cartridge holds 6,000 pages of toner, but the printer's counter is programmed for 3,000. When the display reads "Toner Low," about half the toner is still inside. A quick counter reset lets you print the remaining 3,000 pages.

Step 1: Pull the toner out. Use tweezers to turn the counting gear clockwise 5 to 6 times until the notch lines up with the arrow.

Step 2: Pry the white part up, then turn it clockwise until it stops.

Step 3: Slide the toner back in. Ready to print.

This reset is needed once per cartridge after the first toner-low warning. It does not affect print quality.
