Our paper is manufactured in the United States to a consistent coating standard, so the image stays dark and the roll feeds cleanly transaction after transaction. ▶ How to Load the Roll

Open the printer cover on the V400C, drop the roll in so the paper feeds from the bottom toward the front, pull a few inches past the cutter, and close the cover. Thermal paper prints on one side only. If you are unsure which side faces up, scratch the surface with a fingernail; the side that leaves a dark mark is the thermal side, and that side must face the print head.

This page is for the VeriFone V400C. Paper fit is governed by width, core size, and the printer's maximum roll diameter, not by length. This roll is 2 1/4" wide with a 1/2" core, which is the V400C standard. ▶ Storage and Handling

Store rolls in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, away from heat, solvents, and plasticizers, which can fade thermal images over time. Stored properly, the rolls keep a usable image for several years.

▶ Troubleshooting

If receipts print blank, the roll is likely loaded upside down; flip it so the thermal side faces the print head. If print is faint, check that you are using the correct 2 1/4" thermal stock and that the print head is clean.
