▶ About the Ingenico iSC Terminals
The Ingenico iSC250, iSC350, and iSC480 are signature capture payment terminals widely deployed in retail and hospitality environments. They support EMV chip, contactless NFC, magstripe, and signature capture. The iSC250 is a compact countertop unit, the iSC350 adds a larger display, and the iSC480 features a full-size touchscreen.
All iSC models require both a data connection (to communicate with the POS system) and a power source (to operate). This 12V USB cable provides both through a single connection when paired with a compatible 12V USB port.
▶ When to Use This Cable vs Other iSC Cables
This cable (296178419AB) - 12V USB, no PSU needed: Use when your POS system or ECR has a dedicated 12V USB output port. One cable provides both data and power. No wall adapter required. 2 meters length.
iPP/iSC Dual Gang USB 5m (296116381AC): Use when you need extra length (up to 16.4 feet) and your POS system has standard 5V USB ports. Two USB plugs split data and power. No separate Ingenico power supply needed.
Basic USB Cable: Data connection only. Requires a separate Ingenico power supply plugged into the terminal to provide power.
If you are unsure which cable you need, check your POS system for a port labeled "12V USB" or "powered USB." If you see one, this is your cable.
▶ Installation
1. Power off the iSC terminal.
2. Locate the cable port on the bottom or back of the terminal.
3. Connect the terminal end of the cable (Ingenico proprietary connector) into the terminal port until it clicks.
4. Connect the USB end of the cable into the 12V USB port on your POS system or ECR.
5. The terminal should power on automatically once the POS system is active.
6. Confirm data connection by running a test transaction through your POS software.
If the terminal does not power on, verify that the USB port on your POS system is a 12V output. Standard 5V USB ports will NOT provide enough power to operate the terminal.

▶ Troubleshooting
Terminal does not power on: Verify the USB port on your POS system outputs 12V. Standard USB ports only output 5V and cannot power iSC terminals. Check your POS system documentation or look for a "12V" label near the port.
Terminal powers on but no data connection: Check POS software configuration. The iSC terminal must be configured as a connected payment device. Restart both the POS and terminal after connecting.
Intermittent power loss: Check that the cable connector is fully seated in the terminal. A loose connection will cause power drops. Also verify the POS system USB port is not overloaded with other powered devices.
