Description

Genuine Ingenico 296196003 Power Supply for Lane, iPP and iSC Terminals

A payment terminal with a dead power supply is a checkout lane that is closed. Ingenico part 296196003 is the 8V 2.0A supply that keeps the Lane 3000, 3600, 5000, 7000 and 8000 running, and the same unit powers the iPP and iSC pin pads that came before them. Ingenico ships terminals bare, with no power supply in the box, so this is the part every new Lane needs on day one and the part a worn out brick gets replaced with.

Genuine Ingenico, new, current revision, with the Ingenico label and UL mark on the case. Nearly 2,000 of these have shipped to Lane, iPP and iSC installations through TerminalDepot, and we stock them in our own warehouse rather than drop shipping from a distributor. No voltage guesswork. No adapter that almost fits. Just the supply the terminal was built to run on.

✅ Key Features

  • ✅ Genuine Ingenico OEM unit, not a generic look alike adapter
  • ✅ One supply covers every Lane, iPP and iSC model, so multi terminal stores stock one spare
  • ✅ Regulated 8V 2.0A output protects the terminal from the power sags that cause mid transaction reboots and card read errors
  • ✅ 100 to 240V, 50 to 60Hz input works on any US circuit
  • ✅ Direct replacement for legacy part numbers 179901469 and 192008227

▶ Which Terminals Use This Supply

Lane Series:

• Lane 3000
• Lane 3600
• Lane 5000
• Lane 7000
• Lane 8000

Lane 7000 and 8000 run on this one piece supply in most installations. Some higher power configurations use a two piece brick and cord set instead. Check the unit you are replacing: one piece adapter, order this; two piece set, you need the two part unit.

iPP Pin Pads:

• iPP220
• iPP250
• iPP320
• iPP350

Many iPP pin pads draw power through the data cable from the register or PC and never use a wall supply. This unit is for iPP installations that plug into their own wall adapter, or for converting a register powered setup to standalone.

iSC Signature Terminals:

• iSC220
• iSC250
• iSC350

Does not fit: Move series wireless terminals or Desk series countertop terminals. Those use different supplies, listed separately.

▶ Superseded Part Numbers

Ingenico has sold this supply under several numbers over the years: 179901469 for the iPP and iSC lines, 192008227 for the iSC350, and 296196003 today. The current part replaces all of them. Whichever number is printed on your failed unit, this is the correct order.

▶ What's Included and What's Not

Included: one genuine Ingenico 296196003 power supply, new, with the wall prongs built into the case and the DC cord with barrel plug attached.

Not included: the terminal, and the Ethernet or USB connection cable that carries the barrel plug to the terminal. If your cable is missing or damaged, the matching Lane cables are listed with this product.

▶ Signs Your Power Supply Is Failing

A terminal that reboots mid transaction, shows a flickering or dim screen, drops its connection to the register, or only powers on when the cord is held at an angle usually has a failing supply, not a failing terminal. Because these supplies are shared across the Lane, iPP and iSC lines, borrowing one from a neighboring lane is a two minute test that saves replacing a working terminal.

▶ Why OEM Instead of a Generic Adapter

Payment terminals are voltage sensitive. A bargain adapter that drifts off 8V will not fail loudly. It causes intermittent screen dimming, missed card reads and lockups during the signature step, problems that look like software faults and burn hours of troubleshooting, and in the worst case it damages a main board that costs far more than the supply. The OEM unit is built to the tolerances the hardware expects.
