The T650P and T650C look similar but the T650P is the portable version with a battery compartment. The T650C is the countertop version that runs on AC power only. This battery is for the T650P only.

▶ T650P vs T650C — Which Do I Have?

Check the model number on the label on the back or bottom of your terminal. If it says T650P (with a P), this battery is correct. If it says T650C (with a C), you need the power supply instead.

▶ Troubleshooting — Battery Issues After Replacement

• Terminal won't power on with new battery? Make sure the battery is fully seated, press firmly until it clicks. Try placing the terminal on the charging base for 30 minutes before powering on. The battery may need an initial charge out of the box.
• Battery gauge shows wrong percentage? This is normal with a new battery. Perform one full charge cycle (charge to 100%, use until 20%, charge to 100% again) to calibrate the gauge.
• Battery drains fast even though it's new? Check your terminal settings, WiFi scanning, Bluetooth, screen brightness, and cellular signal all affect battery life. In weak signal areas, the cellular radio works harder and drains the battery faster.
• Terminal gets hot during charging? Mild warmth is normal during charging. If the terminal is uncomfortably hot, remove from charger, let it cool, and try again. Ensure you're using the OEM VeriFone charger — not a third-party charger.
• Old battery is swollen? Do NOT attempt to puncture, crush, or throw a swollen battery in regular trash. Dispose of it at a battery recycling center or electronics recycling drop-off. Most office supply stores (Staples, Best Buy) accept lithium-ion batteries for free recycling.
