▶ How to Load Paper in Your Clover Station

1. Open the printer cover on the Station base using the release lever.
2. Remove the empty core from the compartment.
3. Drop the new roll in so paper feeds from the bottom toward the front of the printer.
4. Pull a short length of paper past the cutter bar.
5. Close the cover firmly until it clicks.

Tip: if the printer feeds blank paper, the roll is loaded backwards. Flip it so the glossy thermal side faces the print head. Scratch the paper with your fingernail to check - the side that leaves a dark mark is the print side.

▶ Troubleshooting: Blank or Faded Receipts

• • Blank receipts: The roll is loaded backwards. Thermal paper only prints on one side. Remove the roll, flip it over so paper feeds from the bottom, and reload.
• • Faded or light print: Check that you are using thermal paper, not bond. Bond paper requires ink and will not produce an image in a thermal printer. Also verify the print head is clean and free of dust or residue.
• • Printer cover will not close: The roll may be too thick. This printer accepts rolls up to 2.75" (70mm) outer diameter. A 3 1/8" x 230' roll at 48 GSM fits correctly. Thicker or heavier rolls will not seat properly.

Thermal paper uses a chemical coating to form images when heated. Some thermal coatings contain BPA, which transfers to skin on contact. Cashiers, servers, and retail staff handle dozens or hundreds of receipts per shift. These rolls use a BPA-free formulation, reducing chemical exposure for the people who touch receipts most.

▶ Storage and Handling

Store rolls in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and fluorescent lighting. Keep below 77F and under 65% humidity. Thermal paper stored properly holds a clear image for 5 or more years. Avoid contact with solvents, oils, hand sanitizer, and PVC plastics, which can fade thermal images. For records you need long-term, make a photocopy or digital scan.
