▶ Print Problems and Quick Fixes

• Paper comes out but stays blank: the roll went in reversed. Reverse the roll so its heat-sensitive face meets the print head. A fingernail scratch shows which side that is, because it turns gray.

• Print looks faint or streaky on a new roll: residue has built up on the print head. Wipe the head gently using a cotton ball or lint-free rag dampened with rubbing alcohol, then give it a minute to dry.

• Paper skews or jams: open the cover, set the roll flat in its bay, square off the leading edge and shut the cover until it latches.
