▶ How to Load Paper in Your ReceiptNOW Elite

1. Pull the front tray latch and slide the paper tray out. You do not need to unstack the scanner.
2. Lift out the empty core.
3. Drop the new roll in so the paper unwinds from the bottom of the roll, toward the front of the printer.
4. Pull a few inches of paper straight out past the tray edge.
5. Slide the tray closed until it clicks. The printer feeds and cuts the leader on its own.

Tip: if the printer feeds paper but the receipt comes out blank, the roll went in backwards. Flip it so the paper leaves from the bottom.

▶ Which Roll Sizes Fit the ReceiptNOW Elite

Digital Check rates the Elite for 2.25" to 3.25" widths with a 3.25" (83mm) maximum roll diameter and a 1/2" (12.5mm) minimum core.

✅ 3 1/8" x 230' (this product) - full print width, 2.75" OD, 1/2" core. Drops in with the guides at their factory setting.

✅ 3 1/8" x 273' or 300' - fits the diameter limit, but check the roll's core: anything under 1/2" will not seat on the holder.

❌ 3 1/8" rolls over 3.25" OD (350' and longer register rolls) - too thick, the tray will not close.

❌ 7/16" core rolls of any length - the core is under the printer's minimum and the roll rocks on the holder.

✅ 2 1/4" x 85' - only after you move the internal guides inward with the wheel on the right rail. You lose the full 80mm print width and the guides are at their maximum out of the box, so most teller lines stay on 3 1/8".

▶ Troubleshooting: Blank or Faded Receipts

• Blank receipt, paper feeds: the roll is in backwards. Reload with the paper leaving from the bottom of the roll.

• Faded or light print: you have bond paper in a thermal printer. The Elite has no ribbon; only thermal stock prints.

• Tray will not close: the roll is over 3.25" OD. Use a 230' to 300' roll.

• Roll rocks and feeds crooked: the core is smaller than 1/2". Use a 1/2" core roll.

• Paper-low alert never sounds: the near-end sensor reads the roll diameter; check the roll is seated fully down in the holder.

▶ Why BPA-Free Matters

Standard thermal paper used to rely on BPA as the developer in the coating. It transfers to skin on contact, and a teller handles receipts hundreds of times a shift. This stock uses a BPA-free developer instead, so the receipt the customer takes home and the stack the teller counts at close carry none of it.

The paper roll is the cheapest part of the teller station and the one that fails most often: a core that does not seat, a coating that prints gray, a roll that is thirty feet short. Thermal coating reacts to heat and light. Keep unopened cases out of direct sun and away from heaters, radiators, and vehicle interiors. Stored in the original carton at normal room temperature, the rolls keep for 5 years or more. Open one case at a time.
