Description
Thermal Paper Rolls for the Epson TM-T70II and TM-T70 - 3 1/8 x 230 ft for the Front-Loading Under-Counter Printer
Thermal paper for the Epson TM-T70II goes in from the front, which is the whole reason the printer is tucked under a counter, a fuel desk or a teller window instead of taking up space on top. Every TM-T70 generation takes a 3 1/8 in (80mm) roll up to 83mm across, and these 3 1/8 in (80mm) x 230 ft rolls are 2.75 in (70mm) on a 1/2 in core: press the lever, drop the roll in, close the cover and it feeds clean and prints sharp.
No ink. No ribbon. No faded or half-printed receipts - a clean, dark image edge to edge on every ticket.
Key Features
- ✅ Fits the TM-T70, TM-T70-i, TM-T70II, TM-T70II-DT and TM-T70II-DT2, so older and newer stations share one stock
- ✅ Front-loading fit: change the roll without pulling the printer out from under the counter
- ✅ At 70mm across, the roll sits in the 83mm bay with room to spare and the cover shuts on the first try
- ✅ 230 ft on every roll, so a teller or cashier is not stopping to reload mid-line
- ✅ A colored stripe near the end of the roll tells staff to grab a spare before the next customer
- ✅ BPA-free coating, better for staff who tear and hand over receipts all shift
- ✅ Made in the United States, so every case you reorder matches the last one

▶ How to Load Paper in a TM-T70II
- Press the cover open lever to open the printer cover.
- Take out the empty core.
- Drop the new roll in so the paper feeds out from the bottom of the roll toward you.
- Pull out some paper so it sits between the paper guides.
- Close the cover and check the paper is still between the guides.
- Tear off the extra.
Tip: a blank first ticket means the roll is facing the wrong way. Flip it and close the cover again.
▶ Roll Sizes That Fit a TM-T70II
✅ 3 1/8 in x 230 ft (this product) - a 70mm roll with 13mm to spare in the 83mm bay.
❌ Anything over 83mm (3.27 in) across - the roll will not seat and the cover stays open.
❌ Rolls with the paper glued to the core - Epson warns against them.
❌ Bond or carbonless rolls - the TM-T70 series prints on thermal paper only.
▶ How Many Rolls to Order
Figure on about 250 itemized receipts per roll, or around 450 when most tickets are short card slips.
• 6 rolls: one teller window or a quiet register.
• 12 or 18 rolls: one busy lane or fuel desk between orders.
• 24 rolls: two or three lanes.
• 50-roll case: the lowest cost per roll, for a branch or store running several stations.
▶ Fixing Blank or Faint Tickets
• Blank tickets: the coated side is facing the wrong way. Flip the roll.
• Faint or streaky print: the roll is not thermal stock, or it sat in heat before use. Swap in a roll from an unopened pack.
▶ Why American-Made Paper
The printer is a one-time purchase. The paper is the part you buy again and again, and it is the part that decides whether a lane keeps moving. Every roll here comes off a US line to one specification, so case ten runs exactly like case one.
▶ Storage
Heat turns thermal paper gray and sunlight fades it. Store spare cases sealed, off the floor of a warm back room and away from windows. At normal room temperature they keep printing dark for 5 years or more.
