Description

Thermal Paper for the Epson TM-T88 Series - 3 1/8 x 230 ft Rolls for the T88II through T88VII

Thermal paper for the Epson TM-T88 has stayed the same through seven generations of the printer. Whether the counter runs an old dark-gray T88IV or a new T88VII, it takes a 3 1/8 in (80mm) roll up to 83mm across, so one case of these 3 1/8 in (80mm) x 230 ft rolls covers every T88 in the building. Each roll is 2.75 in (70mm) on a 1/2 in core: it drops in, feeds clean and prints sharp, shift after shift.

No ink. No ribbon. No squinting at a pale total while the customer waits. Just consistent, USA-made thermal stock your printer can run all day.

Key Features

  • ✅ One roll for every TM-T88 from the T88II to the T88VII, so mixed-age stations share one stock
  • ✅ 70mm roll leaves room in the 83mm bay, so the cover shuts without pinching the paper
  • ✅ 230 ft per roll means fewer changes during a rush
  • ✅ End-of-roll indicator gives staff a warning before the roll runs out mid-sale
  • ✅ BPA-free coating for the hands that handle receipts all day
  • ✅ Made in the United States to the same spec, case after case

▶ Which TM-T88 Do I Have?

Flip the printer over and read the model line on the label. The model code tells you the generation:

• M129C: TM-T88III

• M129H: TM-T88IV

• M244A: TM-T88V

• M338A: TM-T88VI

The TM-T88II, TM-T88V-i and TM-T88VII take the same roll too. Other Epson receipt printers are covered on our Epson Receipt Printer Paper Rolls page.

▶ How to Load Paper in a TM-T88

  1. Press the cover open button and lift the roll paper cover.
  2. Take out the empty core.
  3. Drop the new roll into the holder.
  4. Pull a few inches of paper out past the cover, close it, and tear off the extra.

Tip: if the first receipt comes out blank, the roll went in backwards. Turn it around and reload.

▶ Roll Sizes That Fit a TM-T88

✅ 3 1/8 in x 230 ft (this product) - 70mm across, inside the 83mm limit.

❌ Rolls wider than 83mm (3.27 in) across - the cover will not close.

❌ Bond or two-ply rolls - every TM-T88 is a thermal printer.

▶ How Many Rolls to Order

A 230 ft roll prints roughly 250 long itemized receipts or 450 short card slips.

• 6 rolls: a single T88 at a low-volume counter.

• 12 or 18 rolls: one busy lane between orders.

• 24 rolls: two or three lanes, or a restaurant with a bar printer.

• 50-roll case: the lowest cost per roll, for stores running several T88s.

▶ Troubleshooting Blank or Gray Receipts

• Nothing printed at all: the roll is in backwards. Turn it around.

• Print is gray or patchy: the roll may not be thermal, or it was stored somewhere hot. Try a fresh roll from a sealed pack.

▶ Why American-Made Paper

A T88 can run for a decade. The paper is what changes every week, and a roll wound too large or coated too thin is what stops a lane. These rolls are made in the United States to one specification, so the roll you load next year behaves like the one you load today.

▶ Storage

Thermal paper darkens with heat and fades with light. Keep spare cases sealed and off the floor of hot stockrooms, away from windows and ovens. Kept at room temperature, they stay ready to print for 5 years or more.
