OEM Ingenico 12V USB cable for Lane 3000, 5000, 7000, and 8000 terminals. This cable connects your Lane terminal to a 12V USB port on your POS system or electronic cash register and powers the terminal through that connection. No separate external power supply needed. Part number 296178419AB.

This is the cable you need when your POS system has a dedicated 12V USB output port. One cable handles both data and power. Eliminates cable clutter and removes the need for a separate wall adapter. 2 meters (6.56 feet) in length.

▶ About the Ingenico Lane Terminals

The Ingenico Lane 3000, 5000, 7000, and 8000 are countertop payment terminals used in retail, restaurant, and hospitality environments. They support EMV chip, contactless NFC, and magstripe payments. Lane terminals require both a data connection (to communicate with the POS system) and a power source (to operate).

Different cable options exist depending on how your POS system delivers power. Some setups use a separate wall adapter for power. This 12V USB cable eliminates that separate adapter by drawing power directly from a 12V USB port on the host system.

▶ When to Use This Cable vs Other Lane Cables

TerminalDepot carries multiple Lane USB cables. Here is when you need each one:

This cable (296178419AB) - 12V USB, no PSU needed: Use when your POS system or ECR has a dedicated 12V USB output port. One cable provides both data and power. No wall adapter required.

Powered USB Cable (296111170AD) - requires external PSU: Use when your POS system has a standard USB port but NOT a 12V USB port. You will also need to purchase a separate Ingenico power supply (sold separately) to power the terminal.

Basic USB Cable (296100039) - requires external PSU: Data connection only. Requires a separate Ingenico power supply plugged into the terminal to provide power.

External Powered USB 13ft (296114303AD): Same as the powered USB cable but 13 feet long. For installations where the POS system is far from the terminal. Requires external power supply.

Dual Gang USB 5m (296116381AE): Uses two USB-A plugs (one for data, one for power). 5 meters long. For setups that need extra length with split power delivery.

If you are unsure which cable you need, check your POS system for a port labeled "12V USB" or "powered USB." If you see one, this is your cable.

▶ Installation

1. Power off the Lane terminal.

2. Locate the cable port on the bottom or back of the Lane terminal.

3. Connect the terminal end of the cable (Ingenico proprietary connector) into the terminal port until it clicks.

4. Connect the USB end of the cable into the 12V USB port on your POS system or ECR.

5. The terminal should power on automatically once the POS system is active.

6. Confirm data connection by running a test transaction through your POS software.

If the terminal does not power on, verify that the USB port on your POS system is a 12V output. Standard 5V USB ports will NOT provide enough power to operate the terminal.

▶ Troubleshooting

Terminal does not power on: Verify the USB port on your POS system outputs 12V. Standard USB ports only output 5V and cannot power Lane terminals. Check your POS system documentation or look for a "12V" label near the port.

Terminal powers on but no data connection: Check POS software configuration. The Lane terminal must be configured as a connected payment device in your POS system. Restart both the POS and terminal after connecting.

Intermittent power loss: Check that the cable connector is fully seated in the terminal. A loose connection will cause power drops. Also verify the POS system USB port is not overloaded with other powered devices.

Cable does not fit terminal: Confirm you have a Lane 3000, 5000, 7000, or 8000. This cable does NOT fit iPP, ISC, or Lane 3600 models. The connector is model-specific.
