Specifications

▶ How to Load Paper in the Worldline Yomova

1. Lift the paper cover to release it, then open it fully.

2. Do not remove the roller inside the paper compartment.

3. Remove any remaining paper or empty core from the compartment.

4. Place the new roll into the compartment with the paper feeding from underneath. The loose end should come up from the bottom of the roll toward you.

5. Pull approximately 2-3 inches of paper past the tear bar.

6. Close the paper cover firmly until it clicks shut.

7. The terminal will advance a small amount of paper to confirm proper feeding.

The red warning stripe near the end of the roll signals approximately 3-4 feet of paper remaining. When you see red on your receipts, load a fresh roll before the next transaction.

▶ Why BPA-Free Matters

Thermal paper uses a heat-activated coating to produce images without ink or ribbon. Some thermal paper uses Bisphenol-A (BPA) in that coating. BPA is an endocrine disruptor that transfers to skin on contact. Staff who handle receipts repeatedly throughout the day have measurable BPA exposure. Our rolls use a BPA-free thermal coating, which reduces chemical exposure for your employees and customers.

Our thermal paper is manufactured in the United States using domestic pulp and coating processes. American mills maintain tighter tolerances on thermal coating thickness, which means consistent black image density from the first receipt to the last foot of the roll. Imported paper often has uneven coating that causes light spots, fading, or incomplete character printing. Properly coated American thermal paper retains image quality for 5+ years in normal storage conditions.

▶ Storage and Handling

Store thermal paper in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Ideal conditions: below 77F (25C) and below 65% relative humidity. Avoid storing near heat sources, in vehicles, or in direct window light. Heat and UV exposure will cause thermal paper to darken or lose image quality.

Do not store near solvents, cleaners, or plasticizers (such as vinyl binders or plastic wrap) as these chemicals can react with the thermal coating and cause discoloration.

▶ Troubleshooting

Blank receipts (paper feeds but nothing prints): The roll is loaded backward. Remove it, flip it 180 degrees, and reload. The thermal-coated (smooth/shiny) side must face the print head. Quick test: scratch the paper with your fingernail. The side that shows a dark mark is the thermal side.

Light or faded printing: The print head may be dirty. Clean with an approved cleaning card. If the print head is clean, the paper may be heat-damaged from improper storage.

Paper jams or misfeeds: Check that the roll diameter is not too large for the compartment. Our rolls are sized exactly to the manufacturer specification.
