Description

Digital Check TellerScan TS250-75 Check Scanner with Inkjet Endorser

A branch that scans all day needs a scanner that does not become the line. The TellerScan TS250-75 runs 75 checks a minute from a 100-item feeder, images both sides at 600 dpi, reads MICR and OCR together, endorses the back, and stacks 150 items in the exit pocket before anyone has to empty it. Part number 158000-52 is the 75 DPM model with the rear inkjet endorser.

No feeder that quits at 50. No waiting on a slower scanner while the customer watches. Just the TellerScan workhorse, rebuilt for the next decade.

Key Features

  • ✅ 75 documents per minute clears a full 100-item feeder in about 80 seconds, keeping the teller line moving
  • ✅ 100-item feeder and 150-item exit pocket mean fewer interruptions on high-volume days
  • ✅ Double-document detection stops the run on stuck checks instead of silently skipping one
  • ✅ Rear inkjet endorser prints a user-programmable endorsement line on every check
  • ✅ Dual 600 dpi sensors with combined MICR and OCR read for fewer rejects and repairs
  • ✅ Built-in Ethernet over USB network mode lets several teller stations share one scanner
  • ✅ Front-feed ID slot captures licenses in color for account opening and identity checks

▶ Replacing a TS240-75, TS240-100, or TS230

The TS250-75 is Digital Check's replacement for the TellerScan TS240-75 and TS240-100 and the older TS230 line, all discontinued. If you are replacing any of those, this is the current model at the same job.

• 600 dpi sensors, four times the resolution of the TS240
• Front ID card capture added
• Network mode built in, no SecureLink adapter box
• Automated cleaning mode
• 25 W power draw versus 45 W
• Feeder is now on the right side of the body
• Ink cartridge unchanged: MS0083 / C6602A

Note for TS240-100 users: the TS250-120 is the direct speed match. The TS250-75 covers most branch workloads at a lower price; contact us if you need 120 DPM.

▶ 75 DPM vs 55 DPM vs 120 DPM

• TS250-75 (this model): shared teller scanner, back-office deposits, lockbox and payment processing where the scanner runs for hours
• TS250-55: single teller window or a business with a few hundred checks a day
• TS250-120: item processing centers; endorser is standard

Feeder, sensors, and network capability are identical across the three. Speed is set at the factory and cannot be upgraded later.

▶ What Is Included

• TellerScan TS250-75 scanner, inkjet endorser model
• USB 2.0 cable
• External power supply, 100-240 VAC
• One MS0083 black ink cartridge
• Quick start guide

❌ Not included: teller capture or RDC software, cleaning cards, network cable.

▶ Sharing the Scanner Across Teller Stations

In network mode the TS250-75 runs Ethernet over USB (RNDIS) and talks to any workstation whose application supports the SecureLink 2.0 API. That lets one scanner on the counter serve every teller station without moving cables.

• Hold the Smart Button to switch between USB and network mode; the status light confirms
• Full 75 DPM speed is maintained in network mode
• Your application must support SecureLink 2.0 for network mode; the Digital Check API is used in USB mode

▶ Keeping It Running: Cleaning and Ink

• The status light prompts for cleaning based on document count; insert a cleaning card and start cleaning mode from the Smart Button
• High-volume sites should plan on a cleaning card weekly, more often with carbonless or dusty documents
• The MS0083 / C6602A endorser cartridge snaps in and out without tools
• Empty the exit pocket before it hits 150 items

▶ Troubleshooting

• Feeder will not pick: fan and square the stack, check for staples, and confirm the entry pocket has opened fully
• Halts on double feeds: the detector is doing its job; separate the pair and resume
• MICR rejects climbing through the day: run a cleaning card; the sensors are dirty
• Endorsement light or missing: reseat the cartridge, then confirm the endorsement setting in the application
• Workstations cannot see the scanner in network mode: confirm the mode light and that the application is on SecureLink 2.0
• Repeated jams at the same spot: check for a torn check fragment in the transport path
