▶ How to Load Paper in the Epson TM-m30II (4 Simple Steps)

1. Open the paper cover by pressing the cover release lever on the right side of the printer.
2. Drop the new roll into the compartment with the paper feeding from the bottom (thermal side facing up).
3. Pull a short length of paper past the tear bar.
4. Close the cover firmly until it clicks. The printer will auto-feed and cut a test strip.

If the receipt prints blank, the roll is loaded backwards. Flip it over so the thermal coating faces the print head.

▶ Why These Rolls Fit Better Than Generic 3 1/8" Paper

Generic 80mm thermal rolls from office supply stores often come on 1/2" cores or oversized 90mm diameter rolls that physically will not fit the TM-m30II paper bay. The TM-m30II has a compact paper compartment with a max roll diameter of 83mm (3.27"). Our rolls are wound to exactly 83mm on a 7/16" core so you get the maximum 230 feet of paper per roll without jamming or fit issues. Cheaper rolls wound to 220' or less are leaving paper length on the table.

There are none. All TM-m30II models use identical paper: 3 1/8" wide, 230' long, 7/16" core, 83mm max diameter. The model differences are connectivity only (USB ports, network tethering, hub functionality). You do not need model-specific paper. One roll fits all four.
