▶ How to Load Paper in Your AXIUM DX4000

1. Lift the catch at the top of the terminal and pull the printer cover toward the rear until it opens fully.
2. Drop the new roll into the compartment with the paper feeding from underneath, curving up and over the front edge.
3. Pull enough paper past the tear bar so a few inches extend beyond the cover.
4. Press both upper corners of the paper cover simultaneously until the cover clicks closed.
5. Tear off the excess paper cleanly against the tear bar.

Tip: If receipts come out blank, the roll is loaded backwards. Flip it so the thermal side (the slightly glossy side) faces the print head.

• Receipts print completely blank: The roll is loaded upside down. Remove it, flip it over so the thermal coating faces the print head, and reload.
• Print is faint or fades quickly: Confirm you are using thermal paper, not bond paper. Bond paper requires an ink ribbon and will not produce an image on a thermal printer.
• Paper cover will not close all the way: The roll diameter is too large for the compartment. The AXIUM DX4000 accepts a maximum 40mm outer diameter. Use a 2 1/4 in x 50 ft roll (37mm OD).
