▶ How to Load Paper (4 Simple Steps)
- Open the printer cover using the release lever.
- Remove any old roll and place the new roll so paper feeds from underneath.
- Pull 3–4 inches of paper past the tear bar.
- Close the cover firmly and press the Feed button to test.
Tip: If prints come out blank, check that the ink ribbon is installed. If prints are faded, replace the ribbon, the paper is not the issue.

▶ Troubleshooting — Blank or Faded Prints
⚠️ Important: The Toast TKP300 is an impact/dot matrix printer. It requires bond or carbonless paper AND an ink ribbon.
- Blank prints? Check that an ink ribbon is installed. Thermal paper will also feed through blank, make sure you're using bond paper.
- Faded prints? Replace the ink ribbon. The paper does not affect print darkness, only the ribbon condition does.
- Paper jams? Make sure the roll is seated properly with paper feeding from underneath.
